Dialogue in the dark

DIALOGUE IN THE DARK

When a blind man leads a blind man...What really happens then is what adventurous people can find out in the Vienna Dialogue in the Dark.

Because in this show at the Schottenstift in Vienna, visitors can no longer even see their own hand in front of their eyes. They are guided through the premises by actual blind guides.

Dialog im Dunkeln Wien Vienna Stay Apartments

This creates a unique dialogue in which sighted and blind people swap places for an hour. This is because the blind guides have no problem mastering the "dark situation". Thus, visitors depend on their help when it comes to mastering everyday situations in the dark. Whether it is crossing a busy street, shopping in a supermarket or finding one's way around a cocktail bar. All these undertakings have to be survived "blind". And that's with a wide range of background noises and ground conditions.

The whole experience is also treated in a cross-cultural way. Because a separate station is also dedicated to the everyday life of blind people in Africa.

And who needs a special kind of refreshment after the tour? For him there is still a special surprise:
At Dinner in the Dark, guests are treated to an exquisite 4-course menu in total darkness!
