Old Danube lido
Old Danube lido
In the district of Donaustadt, the lido Alte Donau is located on the river bank on the center side, near the Donaupark. In the bathing season, this lido is a real hotspot for young and old. In the Arbeiterstrandbadstraße you can easily reach it via bus line 20 B.

This legendary attraction for all nature lovers in Vienna, was opened on June 1, 1918. The 10,000 square meter beach was formed by a mound of earth covered with sand from the Gänsehäufel.
Today, the Old Danube bathing beach is 150 meters long and has a 60-meter wooden bathing jetty. But the facility also has various swimming pools, in case you don't want to be content with just the Old Danube. Therefore, as an alternative, there is a sports pool, a multipurpose pool and a children's pool with preheated water. There is even a slide for toddlers!
But apart from that, you will also find a spacious playing area of 7000 square meters. You can choose to play badminton, beach volleyball, soccer or other ball games. You can also go to the fitness track, play table tennis or try out various gymnastics equipment. And for relaxation, sunbathing is definitely available.
For your personal sunbathing, you can use the beach chair rental of the beach bath. By the way, there is also a restaurant and a store for bathing and perfumery products at your disposal!
