Congress bath
The Kongressbad in Julius-Meinl-Gasse in the beautiful 16th district of Vienna, is colloquially known as "Kongerl". You can reach it very easily by S-Bahn, as it is only a few minutes walk from the Hernals station.
The Kongerl was built in 1928 together with the Kongresspark according to plans by Erich Franz Leischner at the namesake Kongressplatz in Ottakring. At that time, the Kongressbad with its original 100-meter-long pool was the largest and most modern artificial outdoor pool in Vienna.

Today, in this charming complex of red-and-white striped wooden buildings, you will find a diverse range of facilities. In addition to the sports pool, there is a 64-meter-long adventure pool with all kinds of special effects. For example, here you'll experience bottom bubblers, whirlpool loungers and even a current channel.
Furthermore, there is a children's pool with water slide and, of course, sunbathing is not missing.
Outside the water areas, you can also keep yourself busy in many ways. It's up to you whether you want to play volleyball or giant chess. But there is also a soccer field, a ball court and a fitness course. Of course, there is also a children's area with a playground.
And for deserved refreshment provides a restaurant with buffet service!
