CAFE FRAUENHUBER
The Café Frauenhuber in Himmelpfortgasse in the 1st district, is considered the oldest coffee house in Vienna. Already in its beginnings in the 19th century, the Frauenhuber enjoyed an excellent reputation for its "smart discourse" as well as its quiet and solid ambience.

Among retired civil servants and military officers, this coffee house soon became popular for its lively chess and whist parties. Later, the Frauenhuber was also famous for its exquisite eggnog, served here at carnival time.
Even today, Café Frauenhuber is a popular meeting place for young and old. For tourists, there is even a detailed description of the numerous Viennese coffee variations. Because the Frauenhuber is completely free of airs and graces and an absolute feel-good place for everyone.
The menu has also provided only the finest for various tastes. In addition to excellent Viennese cuisine, Frauenhuber also offers international dishes. The pastries are of course all homemade. For meetings there is a room to rent, and the Schanigarten offers space for 40 people. By the way, the Frauenhuber is not only the oldest coffee house in Vienna, it is also one of the most beautiful!
