BELVEDERE 21

The Austrian Film Museum was founded in 1964 by Peter Konlechner and Peter Kubelka. The Cinematheque is located in the Albertina building complex next to the Vienna Hofburg. JEWISH MUSEUM

The Jewish Museum in Vienna was recently renovated. In its new splendor, it presents a show depot with a new orientation in terms of content. The Jewish Museum Vienna is a museum for Jewish history, Jewish culture and Jewish religion in Austria. CLIMATE VILLA

Klimt Villa is a former studio of the great painter. On the occasion of the centenary of his death, the garden on the east and south sides was partially reconstructed according to historical models. In the years 1911 until his death in 1918, the artist created famous works in the original garden house, such as "Adele Bloch-Bauer II", "Lady with Fan" and "Frederike Beer".

The Kunsthistorisches Museum was built in 1891 near the Hofburg. It provides a worthy place for the extensive collections of the imperial house. MAK

Design takes center stage at the MAK. The Museum of Applied Arts shows furniture, glass and porcelain, silver and textile. Also on display is the precious bentwood furniture by Thonet. Thonet's bentwood chairs are still used today in Viennese coffeehouses. A highlight of the museum is Gustav Klimt's gold-leaf design for the frieze of the Palais Stoclet in Brussels.
MOZARTHAUS

The world famous composer Mozart had many apartments in the course of his life, but in Domgasse No. 5, since 2006 part of the "Mozarthaus Vienna", he probably spent his happiest years. The Viennese composer stayed in Mozarthaus from 1784 to 1787, the years in which "The Marriage of Figaro" was written. On the second floor visitors can admire a stately domicile. It consists of four rooms, two cabinets and a kitchen.
