Viktor Frankl Museum
VIKTOR FRANKL MUSEUM
A museum is also dedicated to the world-famous Viennese inventor of logotherapy and existential analysis. The Viktor E. Frankl Museum in the 9th district documents the life and work of the founder of the 3rd Viennese School of Psychotherapy.
This is the first museum in the world dedicated to the person of Viktor Frankl, who himself lived in the building until his death in 1997.

In this sense, the museum reflects the life of this great Viennese doctor and philosopher, who reached the age of 110 as a Holocaust survivor.
Visitors here gain deep insights into the works and findings of the great Jewish thinker. This includes correspondence with his contemporary Sigmund Freud.
But the exhibition also offers visitors the opportunity to actively engage with questions about the meaning of life and existence. The aim is to illustrate Frankl's theses on topics such as guilt, love and truth.
In this spirit, guided tours entitled "SIN(er)leben" are also offered. Here, trained experts in logotherapy guide visitors through the museum outside of official opening hours.
