The association of the Kunsthistorisches Museum also includes the neighboring Weltmuseum. This is a new staging of the former Museum of Ethnology. Among other things, this museum, which is connected to the National Library, also houses the world-famous feather crown of Montezuma.

Here, there are show collections in 14 thematically arranged state rooms. The collections are mainly based on private collections of members of the imperial family or other Austrian personalities.

On the ground floor there is a thematic continuation into the present. These are dynamic exhibitions around the themes of cultural identity in today's society.

The themes of hunting and the art of war are visualized in the Court Hunting Chamber and the Armory of the KHM Association.
