Setagaya Park
SETAGAYA PARK VIENNA
What does the 19th district in Vienna have in common with Japan? In the Japanese Garden of Vienna Döbling, a piece of Tokyo has been found on 4000 square meters in the middle of Vienna since 1992. Because here the Setagaya Park reminds of a friendship and cultural agreement between Vienna Döbling and the district Setagaya in Tokyo, Japan. Accordingly, the park was also designed by Japanese garden designer Ken Nakijama and enchants with its charm from a Far Eastern world. It is not for nothing that a Japanese inscription at the main entrance refers to this place as "Furomon", which means "paradise" in German.

The garden is made especially authentic by a real Japanese teahouse located in its center. From there you can listen to the quiet ripple of the watercourse, which flows over picturesque cascades into a pond. Even the special plant species and stone formations are reminiscent of distant Japan.
But in all its glory, the garden unfolds especially in spring and autumn. For in spring the legendary cherry blossoms bloom and immerse the little paradise in a pink sea of flowers. In autumn you will find the trees in their colorful leaves!
