Strandbad Angelibad in Vienna’s Floridsdorf district is a popular summer destination for visitors of all ages. Located on the Old Danube, it combines natural swimming with a wide range of sports and leisure facilities.

The grounds include a beach around 500 metres long as well as tennis courts, miniature golf and areas for football, beach volleyball and basketball.

Younger visitors can enjoy the mud-play area and pirate ship, while swimmers can make use of the Old Danube itself. Water quality is regularly monitored throughout the bathing season.

There is also a heated pool for small children, spacious sunbathing areas and a buffet for food and refreshments.

The bathing site dates back to 1888 and was later renamed Angelibad in 1929 in honour of Vienna city councillor Hans Angeli.

Angelibad can be reached conveniently by bus line 20B.
