The Karmelitermarkt in Leopoldstadt is a gem of a special kind. This charming market in the traditionally Jewish quarter is still far from the beaten tourist tracks. And that although it lies in the 2nd district, just a few minutes’ walk from Vienna’s city centre!
Instead, the young art scene discovered the naturally grown 17th-century market for itself some time ago. Café Einfahrt is also ideal for an extended breakfast at the Karmelitermarkt. But there is a programme in the evenings too.
