Laaerbergbad is a municipal outdoor swimming pool in Vienna’s 10th district and can be reached easily from the city centre by U1 underground. The complex includes a sports pool, wave pool and children’s pool, as well as a dedicated parent-and-child area for the youngest visitors.
More adventurous guests can use the diving tower, while those looking to relax can enjoy the spacious sunbathing areas. There is also a beach volleyball court, table tennis facilities and a large children’s playground.
Laaerbergbad was built in 1959 on the southern slope of the Laaer Berg according to plans by Erich Franz Leischner. Several Austrian artists contributed to the design of the complex, and visitors can still discover a number of unusual artistic details throughout the grounds, including sculptures, ceramic works and decorative play elements.
Food and drinks are available from a buffet, espresso bar, sparkling-wine bar and snack stand.
