In Habsburgergasse in the centre of Vienna, visitors can embark on an unforgettable journey through time! At “Time Travel Vienna” you set off on a trip through the centuries, and that in several dimensions!
Because the historically imposing setting of the vault of St. Michael holds highly modern possibilities for living history. For example, with the help of a 5D cinema, you can transport yourself back to the Vienna of Roman times. But you can also experience the plague in Vienna up close. In doing so, you encounter the famous plague doctor and also dear Augustin. But then you are not spared a rat plague experienced first-hand either!
The staging of the second Turkish siege of Vienna in 1683 is also exciting. Further tumult is provided by Mozart and Strauss in the ballroom, where they measure their strength to the sounds of waltzes.
The entire show is accompanied by animatronic figures of the main characters Emperor Maximilian I, Maria Theresa and, of course, Franz Joseph with Sisi. These provide an entertaining look back at the history of their family.
But you can also experience the two world wars and the emergence of the Austrian Republic “live”. And at the latest during the interactive Fiaker ride, you can conquer Vienna on the fly!
