The Vienna Danube Tower in the Donaustadt is a characteristic part of the local skyline. The building plan goes back to a design by the architect Hannes Lintl, who created the tower on the occasion of the International Garden Show (WIG) in 1964. This includes the surrounding Donaupark, which was also designed for the garden show.
Today the Danube Tower attracts numerous visitors every day who want to enjoy the unique 360-degree view. On the 252-metre-high tower you have a one-of-a-kind panoramic view over Vienna. The sporty among you can climb the tower’s viewing platform via 776 steps. But two high-speed lifts are also available to everyone else.
And when the beautiful view makes you hungry, two restaurants are also available at dizzying heights. There you are treated to the finest cuisine without even having to do without the view. Because the restaurants slowly rotate around the Danube Tower, so you keep everything in sight!
