Raimund Theater

The Raimund Theater, together with the Ronacher Theater, is the first address for musical fans in Vienna! True to the motto “We are Musical”, the Raimund Theater stands for grand music theatre. In this sense, international musical hits are on the programme here as German-language premieres.

Above all for the in-house creation of the German musical “Elisabeth”, the Viennese musical scene became world-famous. But other in-house musicals are also exported to up to 21 countries.

Since the 1950s, the 80-strong orchestra of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien has accompanied the performances and is valued as an orchestra for its quality.
Here fantastic sets, captivating choreographies and celebrated stars await you. As early as 1987, the success of the theatre began with the arrival of the musical “A Chorus Line”. Since then, the Viennese musical scene has stood at Broadway level on a grand scale.
