Theater Akzent

At the Theater Akzent in Theresianumgasse in the 4th district, you experience a refreshing mix of spoken-word theatre, concerts, cabarets and children’s events. The theatre was built in 1989 by the Vienna Chamber of Labour as part of the Adolf Czettel Education Centre on the site of the former Palais Nathaniel Rothschild.

The Theater Akzent has established itself as unique in the Viennese cultural scene in that it has no in-house ensemble. Thus here you can marvel in turn at well-known artists and various up-and-coming talents. The programme is always focused on topics of current relevance.

The small theatre away from Vienna’s tourist attractions is also, in many respects, an insider tip. In any case, the Theater Akzent always has one surprise or another ready for its visitors!
